Young Directors Program
We're looking for young theatre enthusiasts ages 16 - 20 interested in directing their very own show. Each summer we turn over a short play to a young theatre enthusiast. Our Young Director casts the show, designs the set, schedules and runs the rehearsals, makes costume decisions, learns to work with a budget, and so much more with the mentorship of an experienced director. Stephen Brown New Play Workshop
Got a script you've been working on or one that's tucked away just waiting for actors and an audience? Send it our way. Each summer we get our hands on an original, unstaged play, give it a director and some actors and hold two staged-readings with an audience. After the reading, the audience offers feedback to the playwright. And if you can get Fred to vote for your show, we will do a production of it.
