WHAT'S GOING ON?

A mysterious group of patrons challenged FTE to raise $1,000 from new donors within a specified time period. We pulled it off and they provided $1,000 in matching funds. Now we've got new mystery patrons throwing challenges at us and we're keeping it going!

WHAT'S THE MONEY FOR?

The donations received through this drive will go directly toward FTE's main purpose...keeping quality theatre and culture alive in the Fredericksburg area. The money will go towards general operating costs, buying scripts, securing rights, all of the things we need to be able to do what we do.

HOW MUCH SHOULD EVERYONE GIVE?

We truly appreciate every donation, so it's not about individual amounts as much as getting as many people as possible to contribute. If we can get 100 people to donate 10 bucks, we'll immediately hit our goal. If we can get 1,000 people to chip in a dollar, we're in great shape. Even if you can't contribute anything, we'd appreciate your help spreading the word.

HOW LONG IS THIS GOING ON?

We're trying to hit this goal in a week in order to meet the challenge, so the donation window runs from 12:01 AM on Monday, May 6th to midnight on Sunday, May 12th.

WHO CARES ABOUT THEATRE?

Whether we know it or not, we all do. The arts are important as a form of cultural expression, generator of critical and creative thought, and a way to remember how beautiful and difficult the world around us can be. As arts funding continues to face challenges at the highest levels, it's all the more important to support it from the ground up.

WHAT IS FTE?

Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble is a feisty little 501c3 theatre company dedicated to the idea that theatre doesn't have to just be done one way. We work with small budgets, big imaginations, and endless passion to bring quality theatre to the Fredericksburg area and we've been doing so since 2011. Our all-volunteer staff is made up of local individuals from all over the area and different walks of life who come together for one common, valuable goal.
